Narrative:

Tower advised me after I was airborne that I had not been cleared for takeoff. I advised tower I believed I had been cleared. Fact since jan/xx/98, I know of 2 other occasions the tower advising pilots they departed without a clearance. In the 6 yrs and some 3000 lndgs and takeoffs at merrill field these are the first and only ones I can remember hearing about. One problem we have at merrill field is bleed over from one frequency to another. In fact over past 2 months I and others have reported to merrill tower that we were receiving what sounded like tower xmissions from anchorage international airport and or hood lake towers. Both of which have similar aligned runways 6/24, 13/24 versus merrill runways 6/24 and 15/33.
