Narrative:

At approximately 40 NM from atl VOR on the sinca STAR, atl approach descended us to 12000 ft. Distraction by the WX conditions, we descended to 11700 ft and made an aggressive correction back to 12000 ft. No mention was made by approach. The pilot continued without incident. Supplemental information from acn 416455: as we proceeded inbound, approach control was heard vectoring other aircraft away from an emergency in progress. I turned to check our fuel status as fuel was starting to become an issue due to the holding delay and an approaching WX front from the west. As I turned back to the front, the captain and first officer were adding power to return to 12000 ft. No other aircraft were noticed near us either visually or on TCASII. No TCASII alerts were received.
