Narrative:
Having been aloft for slightly less than 3 hours, we arrived into the terminal area with approximately 6000 pounds of fuel. During gear extension, we noticed that we did not get a green light on our nosewheel indication. We went around and I called for the appropriate checklist. The first officer tried to change bulbs, and had to finally extend the gear using the manual gear extension checklist. We still did not get a green light and so declared a precautionary emergency. We were at the time quite certain it was an indicator problem. We landed uneventfully and stopped straight ahead on the runway. Maintenance came to our aircraft and pinned the gear and towed us back to the hangar/gate. After landing and review, I noticed that the flight director had not accomplished some items on the checklist. Make sure who ever you fly with that they tell you 'checklist complete' and even if they tell you it has -- double check.

Title: FLC OF AN ACR MLG DECLARED AN EMER AND LANDED NOT KNOWING IF THE NOSE GEAR WAS DOWN AND LOCKED SINCE AFTER OPERATING THE GEAR NORMALLY AND MANUALLY, THE GEAR NOSE GEAR LIGHT WOULD NOT COME ON. THEY ALSO TRIED CHANGING GEAR INDICATOR LIGHT BULBS TO ASSURE THAT THE BULB WOULD LIGHT. THE GEAR WAS PINNED AFTER LNDG PRIOR TO TAXIING TO THE GATE.
