Narrative:

Had 7.2 hours block time from previous day's flight. Flight started at XA30Z on dec/xa/98, same time as dec/xb/98. Flight from elp to mci was scheduled for 1 hour 36 mins. Flight from mci-huf was scheduled for 55 mins. Total flight time was 2 hours 31 mins. Time dropped from previous day 2 hours 13 mins. Covered flight on first leg from elp-huf, but we went over 8 in 24 on second leg from mci to huf. As this was a scheduled trip, I assumed that the scheduled time was under 8 in 24. I failed to verify the drop time. When the captain checked in after completing the dec/xa/98 flight, the crew scheduler said they would let us know if there was going to be a conflict. They never did call us back. We had forgotten about the concern over time when we showed for the flight the next day. Apparently the schedulers knew there was a problem while we were en route from elp to mci, however, they failed to let us know.
