Narrative:

I was on a VFR flight from ocean city (26N) to essex county (cdw). I was under advisories with atlantic city followed by mcguire. Mcguire was unable to hand me off to new york and told me to squawk 1200. Southeast of morristown, I descended to 1800 ft and observed an aircraft to my left descending to the east. I observed the aircraft for at least 2 mins. He passed in front of me by 1/2 mi and 250 ft above me. This area is very familiar to me having been based at morristown and caldwell for 21 yrs. I called caldwell tower about 12 mi out. My GPS moving map indicated I was on the east side edge of morristown airspace. I made a normal landing at caldwell. Upon exiting the runway, ground control advised me that ATC had reported a near miss with a commuter landing at ewr and I had violated morristown airspace. I am very familiar with the crowded airspace in this area and spend my time looking out the windshield. I was below class B airspace and clear of morristown airspace and did not consider this a near miss as no evasive action was necessary.

Title: GA PLT OF PA28-180 ACCUSED OF ERRONEOUSLY ENTERING CLASS D AIRSPACE IN ADDITION TO CONFLICT WITH DEPARTING COMMUTER ACFT AT N90.

Narrative: I WAS ON A VFR FLT FROM OCEAN CITY (26N) TO ESSEX COUNTY (CDW). I WAS UNDER ADVISORIES WITH ATLANTIC CITY FOLLOWED BY MCGUIRE. MCGUIRE WAS UNABLE TO HAND ME OFF TO NEW YORK AND TOLD ME TO SQUAWK 1200. SE OF MORRISTOWN, I DSNDED TO 1800 FT AND OBSERVED AN ACFT TO MY L DSNDING TO THE E. I OBSERVED THE ACFT FOR AT LEAST 2 MINS. HE PASSED IN FRONT OF ME BY 1/2 MI AND 250 FT ABOVE ME. THIS AREA IS VERY FAMILIAR TO ME HAVING BEEN BASED AT MORRISTOWN AND CALDWELL FOR 21 YRS. I CALLED CALDWELL TWR ABOUT 12 MI OUT. MY GPS MOVING MAP INDICATED I WAS ON THE E SIDE EDGE OF MORRISTOWN AIRSPACE. I MADE A NORMAL LNDG AT CALDWELL. UPON EXITING THE RWY, GND CTL ADVISED ME THAT ATC HAD RPTED A NEAR MISS WITH A COMMUTER LNDG AT EWR AND I HAD VIOLATED MORRISTOWN AIRSPACE. I AM VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE CROWDED AIRSPACE IN THIS AREA AND SPEND MY TIME LOOKING OUT THE WINDSHIELD. I WAS BELOW CLASS B AIRSPACE AND CLR OF MORRISTOWN AIRSPACE AND DID NOT CONSIDER THIS A NEAR MISS AS NO EVASIVE ACTION WAS NECESSARY.
