Narrative:
Landing gear. Upon gear extension, the nose gear green down and locked lights did not illuminate after the red in- transit unsafe lights extinguished. Executed a go around, performed abnormal procedure to extent necessary, and verified gear was down and locked via the visual down lock indicators. As a precaution, declared an emergency. Briefed the flight attendants and executed a normal approach and landing without further incident.

Title: B727 DID NOT INDICATE THE NOSE GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED WHILE ON APCH.
Narrative: LNDG GEAR. UPON GEAR EXTENSION, THE NOSE GEAR GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED LIGHTS DID NOT ILLUMINATE AFTER THE RED IN- TRANSIT UNSAFE LIGHTS EXTINGUISHED. EXECUTED A GAR, PERFORMED ABNORMAL PROC TO EXTENT NECESSARY, AND VERIFIED GEAR WAS DOWN AND LOCKED VIA THE VISUAL DOWN LOCK INDICATORS. AS A PRECAUTION, DECLARED AN EMER.
