Narrative:
Prior to the OM, we were cleared by approach control to contact mdw tower at the OM. To my knowledge (captain hand flying) the first officer selected the tower frequency in our #1 radio (standby control head), but apparently the toggle switch didn't make the switch from approach control to tower, when moved, some middle position. Prior to this we were cleared for the ILS to runway 31C (only runway used at the time) in VMC conditions, and the runway was visible 8-10 mi out. We continued and landed in VMC conditions. After landing, we became aware that the #1 radio toggle was not in the full select position of the tower frequency. We re-selected the toggle switch to the tower frequency and reported clear of the runway. Tower acknowledged and sent us to the ground frequency for taxi-in.

Title: B737 CREW LANDED WITHOUT CLRNC.
Narrative: PRIOR TO THE OM, WE WERE CLRED BY APCH CTL TO CONTACT MDW TWR AT THE OM. TO MY KNOWLEDGE (CAPT HAND FLYING) THE FO SELECTED THE TWR FREQ IN OUR #1 RADIO (STANDBY CTL HEAD), BUT APPARENTLY THE TOGGLE SWITCH DIDN'T MAKE THE SWITCH FROM APCH CTL TO TWR, WHEN MOVED, SOME MIDDLE POS. PRIOR TO THIS WE WERE CLRED FOR THE ILS TO RWY 31C (ONLY RWY USED AT THE TIME) IN VMC CONDITIONS, AND THE RWY WAS VISIBLE 8-10 MI OUT. WE CONTINUED AND LANDED IN VMC CONDITIONS. AFTER LNDG, WE BECAME AWARE THAT THE #1 RADIO TOGGLE WAS NOT IN THE FULL SELECT POS OF THE TWR FREQ. WE RE-SELECTED THE TOGGLE SWITCH TO THE TWR FREQ AND RPTED CLR OF THE RWY. TWR ACKNOWLEDGED AND SENT US TO THE GND FREQ FOR TAXI-IN.
