Narrative:
Upon landing at penn state airport, landing was firm while using reverse thrust and braking. At approximately 90 KTS, felt tire deflating. Wind was 130 degrees at 3 KTS and light rain. Was able to taxi to terminal and deplane, ok.

Title: CAPT OF A B737-200 BLEW OUT MAIN GEAR TIRES DURING LNDG DUE TO HARD LNDG AND HVY BRAKING. RPTR WAS ABLE TO TAXI ACFT TO PARKING.
Narrative: UPON LNDG AT PENN STATE ARPT, LNDG WAS FIRM WHILE USING REVERSE THRUST AND BRAKING. AT APPROX 90 KTS, FELT TIRE DEFLATING. WIND WAS 130 DEGS AT 3 KTS AND LIGHT RAIN. WAS ABLE TO TAXI TO TERMINAL AND DEPLANE, OK.
