Narrative:
Prior to being cleared for visual approach, captain descended to 4500 ft when only cleared to 5000 ft. I missed the descent and only noticed once we were cleared for the visual to runway 28L. He was starting to correct back to 5000 ft when the visual approach clearance was issued.
