Narrative:

Our crew was on airport reserve. Through the day, we were assigned 1 round-trip initially, then 2 additional round-trips were added. Our last round-trip was from ord-sbn-ord. When we arrived at sbn, our total block time was 7 hours 20 mins. The block time (scheduled) from sbn was 45 mins. The captain and dispatch agreed we were legal since we were legal to begin the 4 legs added on. I thought since we were a reserve crew doing other crew's trip we had to be legal to start each leg, and therefore we weren't legal to depart sbn.
