Narrative:
On takeoff roll we heard compressor stall sounds in front and one of the flight attendants on aft jump seat called the purser to tell of hearing very loud banging noises from the engines. Another attempt was made to take off and the same thing happened again. Winds were high and were attributed to the problem. The aircraft was taken OTS and another aircraft used for the flight to mga. Supplemental information from acn 431692: this was a very windy day, gusty winds. We had a crosswind that caused a compressor stall upon takeoff. We taxied off the runway, checked the engines, and got back in line for takeoff. On taxiing, we were still getting 'small stalls.' I called the cockpit to tell them. They had no indications. We rolled onto the runway again, went to take off, stalls again. We returned to the gate.
