Narrative:
En route from stl to teb and about 45 mins out from our destination, we were told to xfer to a different frequency. My copilot responded. Unfortunately, he must have dialed in the wrong frequency. We tried several times to contact ATC, but not able. So we continued our flight as previously given. Several mins later, we re-established communications with ATC. At that time they had us turn 180 degrees in direction for approximately 5 mins so we could start our descent.
