Narrative:
While aircraft xyz was in hangar of air carrier ZZZ maintenance base for its scheduled hmv 7, the engines were removed for routine maintenance and alteration. On apr/xx/99, I accomplished item #4 of job card #BBB, coa wyyz sequence #xbx -- #1 engine installation, safety and security check. I inspected items a through F and found all items, except where noted on north/right number xoox were secure and safetied at that time. The aircraft was released on apr/ak/99. During that 8 day period, the fuel control unit was replaced and rigged on a task oriented document. After that there were at least 2 engine runs to adjust engine parameters, and 2 test flts. The engine cowls were opened and the engine parameters adjustment were accomplished without proper documentation per air carrier procedures (aircraft operating procedure and maintenance operations procedure).
