Had quick turnaround at gate in lga. During preflight, FAA inspector introduced himself. He asked what the current revision number of my fom was. I incorrectly informed him that it was revision #X, when actually it was revision #Y.

Narrative: HAD QUICK TURNAROUND AT GATE IN LGA. DURING PREFLT, FAA INSPECTOR INTRODUCED HIMSELF. HE ASKED WHAT THE CURRENT REVISION NUMBER OF MY FOM WAS. I INCORRECTLY INFORMED HIM THAT IT WAS REVISION #X, WHEN ACTUALLY IT WAS REVISION #Y.
