Narrative:
Upon the #2 flight attendant leaving the cockpit, the captain made an announcement that our plane was losing oil more rapidly than it should, and the incident involved the left engine. He afterward announced that we would be landing in nashville as a precautionary measure, but that there was no need for alarm. We landed quite smoothly and everything went well (or as normal).

Title: FLT ATTENDANT RPT, MD80, DFW-DCA, OIL LEAK IN L ENG, DIVERT TO BNA FOR MAINT.
Narrative: UPON THE #2 FLT ATTENDANT LEAVING THE COCKPIT, THE CAPT MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT THAT OUR PLANE WAS LOSING OIL MORE RAPIDLY THAN IT SHOULD, AND THE INCIDENT INVOLVED THE L ENG. HE AFTERWARD ANNOUNCED THAT WE WOULD BE LNDG IN NASHVILLE AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE, BUT THAT THERE WAS NO NEED FOR ALARM. WE LANDED QUITE SMOOTHLY AND EVERYTHING WENT WELL (OR AS NORMAL).
