Narrative:
We were cruising at FL190 on J220 95 NM north of aml 009 degree radial. We had 29.92 set in altimeter and noticed a 150 ft difference between captain's and first officer's altimeter. Encoder was set to captain's side as it was my leg. I noticed aircraft Y fokker traffic crossing ahead at what looked like less than 1000 ft. Just then we got a TA for additional traffic crossing below. As I looked for traffic, I inadvertently descended 150 ft. As I checked altitude I noticed my error and climbed back to FL190. The aircraft Z B737 claimed on frequency that we were within 500 ft. While I did descend 150 ft while trying to pick up traffic visually, we were not within 500 ft. We verified our altitude with center and he showed us at FL190. No TA's were issued.
