Narrative:
During cruise engine began losing power. All attempts to restore power failed with the exception of throttle pumping for short bursts of power. A landing was made on a dirt road. No damage was done and inspection disclosed the mixture cable was broken and had vibrated closed. I wired the mixture control to the open position and flew the aircraft to home base (sez).

Title: A PVT PLT LOST ENG PWR AND LANDED ON A DIRT ROAD. FINDING THE MIXTURE CABLE BROKEN, HE WIRED THE CTL TO THE OPEN POS AND FLEW TO SEZ FOR REPAIRS.
Narrative: DURING CRUISE ENG BEGAN LOSING PWR. ALL ATTEMPTS TO RESTORE PWR FAILED WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THROTTLE PUMPING FOR SHORT BURSTS OF PWR. A LNDG WAS MADE ON A DIRT ROAD. NO DAMAGE WAS DONE AND INSPECTION DISCLOSED THE MIXTURE CABLE WAS BROKEN AND HAD VIBRATED CLOSED. I WIRED THE MIXTURE CTL TO THE OPEN POS AND FLEW THE ACFT TO HOME BASE (SEZ).
