Narrative:
At the quincy, il, airport they have a temporary tower for special event to control any increase in operations. We were cleared for takeoff on runway 22 and were informed there were jumpers in the air. We visually spotted a group left of the runway and elected to go ahead and start the takeoff. As we rotated and started our climb, 1 of the jumpers continued his flight toward the active runway. As we passed each other at about 100-150 ft AGL. I believe he had no idea that we were there. Looking back we should have waited for that group of jumpers to have landed before starting our takeoff roll. But it is difficult to plan your takeoff and lndgs between groups of jumpers, because it is almost a continuous flow of jumpers coming down. All of the local pilots believe it is only a matter of time before there is an accident between jumper and airplane. I wish they would close the airport to all traffic while the jumpers are there.
