Narrative:
While practicing emergency procedures in the traffic pattern, a landing gear failure was experienced on the third landing. On the first approach the circuit breaker for the landing gear was pulled. The gear was let down with the emergency handle. The circuit breaker was pushed in but 'popped' out after 2 or 3 seconds. The second approach was performed to confirm the circuit breaker would not pop again before we continued training. On the third approach the gear deployed normally and was confirmed with the indicator light, a visual outside the aircraft and a lack of warning horn, the landing gear collapsed on touchdown and no injuries occurred. The airplane suffered very little damage and no property damage was observed. Supplemental information from acn 446807: the circuit breaker for the landing gear was pulled, and the gear was let down with the emergency handle. The circuit breaker was pushed in but 'popped' out after 2 or 3 seconds. Second approach was performed to confirm the circuit breaker would not pop again before we continued.

Title: A CESSNA CARDINAL 177RG HAD THE LNDG GEAR COLLAPSE ON LNDG AT 50R.
Narrative: WHILE PRACTICING EMER PROCS IN THE TFC PATTERN, A LNDG GEAR FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED ON THE THIRD LNDG. ON THE FIRST APCH THE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE LNDG GEAR WAS PULLED. THE GEAR WAS LET DOWN WITH THE EMER HANDLE. THE CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS PUSHED IN BUT 'POPPED' OUT AFTER 2 OR 3 SECONDS. THE SECOND APCH WAS PERFORMED TO CONFIRM THE CIRCUIT BREAKER WOULD NOT POP AGAIN BEFORE WE CONTINUED TRAINING.
