Narrative:
ATC facility: dfw ground control. Location: intersection of txwys F and G5 at dfw. We were instructed to hold short of taxiway G5 on taxiway F, but failed to do so. Error was noted by ATC and acknowledged by me. There was no traffic conflict. Minor/normal distrs contributed to this incident.

Title: CAPT OF A SUPER MD80 FAILED TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY DURING TAXI FOR TKOF.
Narrative: ATC FACILITY: DFW GND CTL. LOCATION: INTXN OF TXWYS F AND G5 AT DFW. WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY G5 ON TXWY F, BUT FAILED TO DO SO. ERROR WAS NOTED BY ATC AND ACKNOWLEDGED BY ME. THERE WAS NO TFC CONFLICT. MINOR/NORMAL DISTRS CONTRIBUTED TO THIS INCIDENT.
