Narrative:
The engine was running rough. Did a magneto check. Engine would not rev up past 1500 FPM. Magneto check 30 RPM a side. Decided to shut down and push the airplane off into the grass. Engine fire broke out, shut down, fuel off, and extinguished fire. Damage to airplane. Engine accessories. Engine wiring. Engine hoses. Cosmetic damage to paint.

Narrative: THE ENG WAS RUNNING ROUGH. DID A MAGNETO CHK. ENG WOULD NOT REV UP PAST 1500 FPM. MAGNETO CHK 30 RPM A SIDE. DECIDED TO SHUT DOWN AND PUSH THE AIRPLANE OFF INTO THE GRASS.
