Narrative:
Air carrier #1 XXX, sep/xa/99. While being vectored to intercept ILS runway 35L, ATC made 2 calls for air carrier #2 xxy. We disregarded the calls. ATC corrected mistake, clarified air carrier #1 XXX and apologized. We had already notified approach of our intention to execute 'autoland' into den. A different (aggressive) controller took over and directed us to make 90 degree turn to intercept localizer within 1/2 mi. We hesitated on our reply, due to our need for a 30-40 degree intercept in order to execute autoland. Argumentative controller canceled vector, issued 270 degree heading and informed us that we had missed our intercept and were now 'number last' for approach. After numerous vectors, and our reminder that we require a proper intercept and his reply 'oh, you'll get it' sarcastically, we intercepted the localizer. The initial controller returned, cleared us for ILS runway 35L and advised us to contact tower. Our readback was 'cleared for ILS runway 35L contact tower at dymon.' argumentative controller returned and stated that we were 'wrong again, contact tower now and call TRACON upon landing.' the captain asked for his name and his reply was, 'I don't have time for your questions!'

Title: MLG FLC RECEIVES POOR TREATMENT AFTER CORRECTING CALL SIGN AND PROPERLY REQUESTING CAT II APCH AS DEN CTLRS GO FROM UNPROFESSIONAL TO DANGEROUS.
Narrative: ACR #1 XXX, SEP/XA/99. WHILE BEING VECTORED TO INTERCEPT ILS RWY 35L, ATC MADE 2 CALLS FOR ACR #2 XXY. WE DISREGARDED THE CALLS. ATC CORRECTED MISTAKE, CLARIFIED ACR #1 XXX AND APOLOGIZED. WE HAD ALREADY NOTIFIED APCH OF OUR INTENTION TO EXECUTE 'AUTOLAND' INTO DEN. A DIFFERENT (AGGRESSIVE) CTLR TOOK OVER AND DIRECTED US TO MAKE 90 DEG TURN TO INTERCEPT LOC WITHIN 1/2 MI. WE HESITATED ON OUR REPLY, DUE TO OUR NEED FOR A 30-40 DEG INTERCEPT IN ORDER TO EXECUTE AUTOLAND. ARGUMENTATIVE CTLR CANCELED VECTOR, ISSUED 270 DEG HDG AND INFORMED US THAT WE HAD MISSED OUR INTERCEPT AND WERE NOW 'NUMBER LAST' FOR APCH. AFTER NUMEROUS VECTORS, AND OUR REMINDER THAT WE REQUIRE A PROPER INTERCEPT AND HIS REPLY 'OH, YOU'LL GET IT' SARCASTICALLY, WE INTERCEPTED THE LOC. THE INITIAL CTLR RETURNED, CLRED US FOR ILS RWY 35L AND ADVISED US TO CONTACT TWR. OUR READBACK WAS 'CLRED FOR ILS RWY 35L CONTACT TWR AT DYMON.' ARGUMENTATIVE CTLR RETURNED AND STATED THAT WE WERE 'WRONG AGAIN, CONTACT TWR NOW AND CALL TRACON UPON LNDG.' THE CAPT ASKED FOR HIS NAME AND HIS REPLY WAS, 'I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOUR QUESTIONS!'
