Narrative:

The copilot was flying and I was PNF. We were in cruise at FL200 33 mi southwest of nabb, when I heard ZID, 'descend and cross sargo at 11000 ft' so I read back descend and cross sargo at 11000 ft, and we started down. Passing FL180, ZID asked what our altitude was, and I read back descending through FL180 to cross sargo at 11000 ft. Center came back and said our last clearance was FL200. I got back on the radio and said, 'I heard and read back cross sargo at 11000 ft.' center said, 'that was for other aircraft' and he got their readback. I asked if he wanted us to climb back up to FL200 and he said, 'no, descend to 17000 ft.' and then he switched us to a new controller. I asked if he wanted us to call when we got on the ground and he said, 'no, no problem.' we completed the flight. I believe there was a miscom on the controller's part. We started down after there was no correction of my readback.

Narrative: THE COPLT WAS FLYING AND I WAS PNF. WE WERE IN CRUISE AT FL200 33 MI SW OF NABB, WHEN I HEARD ZID, 'DSND AND CROSS SARGO AT 11000 FT' SO I READ BACK DSND AND CROSS SARGO AT 11000 FT, AND WE STARTED DOWN. PASSING FL180, ZID ASKED WHAT OUR ALT WAS, AND I READ BACK DSNDING THROUGH FL180 TO CROSS SARGO AT 11000 FT. CTR CAME BACK AND SAID OUR LAST CLRNC WAS FL200. I GOT BACK ON THE RADIO AND SAID, 'I HEARD AND READ BACK CROSS SARGO AT 11000 FT.' CTR SAID, 'THAT WAS FOR OTHER ACFT' AND HE GOT THEIR READBACK. I ASKED IF HE WANTED US TO CLB BACK UP TO FL200 AND HE SAID, 'NO, DSND TO 17000 FT.' AND THEN HE SWITCHED US TO A NEW CTLR. I ASKED IF HE WANTED US TO CALL WHEN WE GOT ON THE GND AND HE SAID, 'NO, NO PROB.' WE COMPLETED THE FLT. I BELIEVE THERE WAS A MISCOM ON THE CTLR'S PART. WE STARTED DOWN AFTER THERE WAS NO CORRECTION OF MY READBACK.
