Narrative:

Arriving from the north we were vectored for a downwind to runway 36R at clt. After descending to 3600 ft MSL on a heading of 270 degrees, we were vectored to a heading of 360 degrees and cleared for ILS to runway 36R. Autoplt was armed, but did not intercept timely, possibly because of the 90 degree intercept angle. Disconnected the autoplt and was in a right turn to reintercept the localizer when approach control pointed out traffic at 12 O'clock position going to the left side (runway 36L). No TA or RA on the TCASII. We had the other aircraft in sight and were correcting before the call from clt approach.

AFTER DSNDING TO 3600 FT MSL ON A HDG OF 270 DEGS, WE WERE VECTORED TO A HDG OF 360 DEGS AND CLRED FOR ILS TO RWY 36R. AUTOPLT WAS ARMED, BUT DID NOT INTERCEPT TIMELY, POSSIBLY BECAUSE OF THE 90 DEG INTERCEPT ANGLE. DISCONNECTED THE AUTOPLT AND WAS IN A R TURN TO REINTERCEPT THE LOC WHEN APCH CTL POINTED OUT TFC AT 12 O'CLOCK POS GOING TO THE L SIDE (RWY 36L). NO TA OR RA ON THE TCASII.
