Narrative:
After takeoff, I had trouble engaging the autoplt. We had been advised that airborne holding was a possibility. While trying to get the autoplt engaged, we were given a holding pattern. I finally got the autoplt engaged and proceeded to help the first officer find the keeho intersection. The keeho intersection is 73 DME on the 099 degree radial from the crl VOR. The detroit VOR identify box is next to the crl VOR. We both missed the crl VOR arrow and held on the dxo 73 DME 099 degree radial. Center asked us where we were holding. Obviously, we were in the wrong area. I asked center later if there was a problem with our location, and he said no. With the new commercial charts, it's imperative that the correct fixes are idented.

Narrative: AFTER TKOF, I HAD TROUBLE ENGAGING THE AUTOPLT. WE HAD BEEN ADVISED THAT AIRBORNE HOLDING WAS A POSSIBILITY. WHILE TRYING TO GET THE AUTOPLT ENGAGED, WE WERE GIVEN A HOLDING PATTERN. I FINALLY GOT THE AUTOPLT ENGAGED AND PROCEEDED TO HELP THE FO FIND THE KEEHO INTXN. THE KEEHO INTXN IS 73 DME ON THE 099 DEG RADIAL FROM THE CRL VOR. THE DETROIT VOR IDENT BOX IS NEXT TO THE CRL VOR. WE BOTH MISSED THE CRL VOR ARROW AND HELD ON THE DXO 73 DME 099 DEG RADIAL. CTR ASKED US WHERE WE WERE HOLDING. OBVIOUSLY, WE WERE IN THE WRONG AREA. I ASKED CTR LATER IF THERE WAS A PROB WITH OUR LOCATION, AND HE SAID NO. WITH THE NEW COMMERCIAL CHARTS, IT'S IMPERATIVE THAT THE CORRECT FIXES ARE IDENTED.
