Aircraft left engine was losing oil rapidly on takeoff. Captain told the flight attendants to prepare for emergency landing. We turned around to mia. The captain turned off the engine. Cabin crew got to step #9 or #10 on checklists [planned emergency checklist]. We had a successful landing.
