Narrative:
En route from btr to lbx on far 121 charter. Just prior to level off at cruise we received a message (left 14TH duct). It was a warning message. The appropriate checklist was completed. This prompted us to complete an additional checklist for securing the left engine. An emergency was declared and we diverted to the 'nearest suitable' airport (hou). The flight attendant, company, and the passenger were notified of the situation. An uneventful single engine landing was performed. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the engine was shut down due to the left engine 14TH stage pneumatic duct fail warning light on continuously. The reporter said maintenance found a failed sensor loop and determined it was a false warning.

Title: A CL65 IN CLB AT FL200 DECLARED AN EMER AND DIVERTED DUE TO L ENG SHUTDOWN WITH 14TH STAGE PNEUMATIC DUCT FAIL WARNING CAUSED BY A FAILED WARNING SENSOR LOOP.
Narrative: ENRTE FROM BTR TO LBX ON FAR 121 CHARTER. JUST PRIOR TO LEVEL OFF AT CRUISE WE RECEIVED A MESSAGE (L 14TH DUCT). IT WAS A WARNING MESSAGE. THE APPROPRIATE CHKLIST WAS COMPLETED. THE FLT ATTENDANT, COMPANY, AND THE PAX WERE NOTIFIED OF THE SIT. AN UNEVENTFUL SINGLE ENG LNDG WAS PERFORMED. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE ENG WAS SHUT DOWN DUE TO THE L ENG 14TH STAGE PNEUMATIC DUCT FAIL WARNING LIGHT ON CONTINUOUSLY.
