Narrative:
I received a complex departure clearance. After copy and readback, I requested segmented taxi instruction. I was proceeding on those instructions and failed to note that the taxiway crossed the active runway until I had entered the runway. Once across, I notified ground of my error. I think the only factor was my preoccupation with understanding the departure clearance. I should have been paying more attention to my present situation, leaving the departure procedure until the aircraft was not moving. No other factors seem relevant.

Narrative: I RECEIVED A COMPLEX DEP CLRNC. AFTER COPY AND READBACK, I REQUESTED SEGMENTED TAXI INSTRUCTION. I WAS PROCEEDING ON THOSE INSTRUCTIONS AND FAILED TO NOTE THAT THE TXWY CROSSED THE ACTIVE RWY UNTIL I HAD ENTERED THE RWY. ONCE ACROSS, I NOTIFIED GND OF MY ERROR. I THINK THE ONLY FACTOR WAS MY PREOCCUPATION WITH UNDERSTANDING THE DEP CLRNC. I SHOULD HAVE BEEN PAYING MORE ATTN TO MY PRESENT SIT, LEAVING THE DEP PROC UNTIL THE ACFT WAS NOT MOVING.
