Narrative:
During taxi from cargo area to runway 18, captain (aircraft X) missed turn onto taxiway T and continued toward runway 18. Captain stopped short of runway, but past hold line. First officer was distracted and looking down to get tower frequency in preparation for change-over. Ground control called 'hold short!' at about the same time as captain stopped aircraft. Captain checked with tower upon arrival at destination and was told that two other aircraft had made the same mistake that evening and 'around 10 aircraft' had done the same in the previous week. Captain indicated that signage was poor and confusing. There was an aircraft on takeoff roll which took no action.
