Narrative:

On initial climb, #2 engine fire light and fire warning bell came on. #2 engine thrust lever was pulled to idle and after approximately 30 seconds, the fire warning light went out. We elected to leave #2 engine run at idle until landing rollout. We declared an emergency and first officer flew ILS approach to runway 21. Emergency terminated after arff reported that no visible indications of fire on #2 engine were apparent. As an additional note: as the #2 thrust lever was pulled to idle it would spring back to the 2.0 index on the throttle quadrant. After about 3 mins of holding thrust lever at idle the lever remained at idle with no spring back.
