Narrative:
Just prior to scheduled pushback, a flight attendant came up to the cockpit to relate this incident. The flight attendant said that a passenger in the bulkhead row, when asked about contents of bag, that it had to be put in the overhead bin, replied 'a bomb.' passenger had been drinking. After talking with gate agent, I decided to have the passenger and bags removed. His traveling companion also elected to disembark. Airport security got involved.
