Narrative:
I was arriving to iad with ZDC and given a crossing restr clearance to cross 85 mi south of fak VOR at FL270 from FL290. My call sign was air carrier X. Air carrier Y and air carrier Z were also on frequency. As we descended to FL270 we were given clearance to FL220 and 280 KTS. As we descended through FL265, air carrier Y inquired about the clearance to FL220 and who it was for. I stopped our descent and leveled at FL265 when ZDC clarified 'air carrier Y cleared to FL220 and 280 KTS.' 'air carrier X you may continue to FL250.' I clearly read back all clrncs, but I believe due to all the similar call signs the controller and myself missed the mistake. No evasive actions had to be taken. A report was filed with my company as well to correct future problems.

Title: FLC OF A CANADAIR CL65 TOOK CLRNC FOR ANOTHER COMPANY ACFT WITH SIMILAR CALL SIGN AND STARTED DSCNT.
Narrative: I WAS ARRIVING TO IAD WITH ZDC AND GIVEN A XING RESTR CLRNC TO CROSS 85 MI S OF FAK VOR AT FL270 FROM FL290. MY CALL SIGN WAS ACR X. ACR Y AND ACR Z WERE ALSO ON FREQ. AS WE DSNDED TO FL270 WE WERE GIVEN CLRNC TO FL220 AND 280 KTS. AS WE DSNDED THROUGH FL265, ACR Y INQUIRED ABOUT THE CLRNC TO FL220 AND WHO IT WAS FOR. I STOPPED OUR DSCNT AND LEVELED AT FL265 WHEN ZDC CLARIFIED 'ACR Y CLRED TO FL220 AND 280 KTS.' 'ACR X YOU MAY CONTINUE TO FL250.' I CLRLY READ BACK ALL CLRNCS, BUT I BELIEVE DUE TO ALL THE SIMILAR CALL SIGNS THE CTLR AND MYSELF MISSED THE MISTAKE. NO EVASIVE ACTIONS HAD TO BE TAKEN. A RPT WAS FILED WITH MY COMPANY AS WELL TO CORRECT FUTURE PROBS.
