Narrative:
After the doors were closed and the jetbridge pulled, flight attendant #1 said all seats were full, but 1 man was still standing. The flight attendants discovered he had no paperwork, ticket stub, etc. After the jetbridge was hooked and the door opened, this man bolted up the jetbridge, but was stopped and detained by one of our employees or a skycap. I heard it was a good tackle. We completed an entire security check of the aircraft and dumped the lavatories since it was reported he had been in there for a while. He had checked on bags. Mco did a great job, especially the supervisor/manager. However, this man could have gotten away with this if the aircraft had one open seat and the crew does not check the closeout passenger count with a flight attendant head count. I believe more vigilance is required by the plucker agents and flight crew's. We are all in this security thing together and need to work together, rather than blame one individual.
