Narrative:
While on descent on UKW5 we were instructed to stop descent at 14000 ft and then reclred to descend to 9000 ft, but change arrival to the maasty 2, by intercepting the cve 314 degree radial and cross gregs at 9000 ft. Informed fort worth we would be unable and were reclred to intercept and descend to 9000 ft. Flight was then given frequency change to 119.87 dfw approach. On initial contact controller asked why we were not at 9000 ft. I informed her that fort worth had given us a stop descent at 14000 ft and then a release of the 9000 ft crossing restr at gregs. We were then given a descent to 5000 ft and a heading with no further problems. There appears to have been a miscom between approach and fort worth as to our last clearance coupled with a traffic conflict which disrupted our descent. Controller advised there was no airspace intrusion and there were no further comments.

Title: A DSNDING S80 CREW DOES NOT MAKE THE ALT XING RESTR OF 9000 FT AT MEGS AS EXPECTED BY DFW APCH CTLR AFTER A REASSIGNED ALT GIVEN BY ZFW PRIOR TO THE FREQ CHANGE AT DFW, TX.
Narrative: WHILE ON DSCNT ON UKW5 WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO STOP DSCNT AT 14000 FT AND THEN RECLRED TO DSND TO 9000 FT, BUT CHANGE ARR TO THE MAASTY 2, BY INTERCEPTING THE CVE 314 DEG RADIAL AND CROSS GREGS AT 9000 FT. INFORMED FORT WORTH WE WOULD BE UNABLE AND WERE RECLRED TO INTERCEPT AND DSND TO 9000 FT. FLT WAS THEN GIVEN FREQ CHANGE TO 119.87 DFW APCH. ON INITIAL CONTACT CTLR ASKED WHY WE WERE NOT AT 9000 FT. I INFORMED HER THAT FORT WORTH HAD GIVEN US A STOP DSCNT AT 14000 FT AND THEN A RELEASE OF THE 9000 FT XING RESTR AT GREGS. WE WERE THEN GIVEN A DSCNT TO 5000 FT AND A HEADING WITH NO FURTHER PROBS. THERE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN A MISCOM BTWN APCH AND FORT WORTH AS TO OUR LAST CLRNC COUPLED WITH A TFC CONFLICT WHICH DISRUPTED OUR DSCNT. CTLR ADVISED THERE WAS NO AIRSPACE INTRUSION AND THERE WERE NO FURTHER COMMENTS.
