Narrative:
Climbing out of bct on straight line for rsw, saw MD80 on tcad, acquired visually at approximately 2000 ft above, 12 O'clock position. Leveled off at 15000 ft MSL and descended to 14500 ft. I was monitoring ZMA and heard conversation between MD80 and center. The MD80 pilot seemed very upset that someone was 'messing' with him. At the time, I estimate his forward speed was +/-90 KTS greater than mine and 2000 ft above based on tcad. I called center to advise that I believed I was the suspect other aircraft and was advised to call when I got down. I did and was informed there was no procedure, but that the pilot was really upset, and was going to file a NASA report. I decided to do likewise. At no time were any regulations violated by either aircraft.
