Narrative:
EMB110 cleared to taxi from ramp to runway 23L via runway 27R. Hold short line not clearly marked by red hold short signs. Hold short line is faded and on a runway. Airplane inadvertently taxied onto active runway without clearance. We were informed by tower that we were on the active runway. We then turned 180 degrees off of the runway. Heat, fatigue, hold short line not clearly marked.
