Narrative:
I was informed today at XB30 that the repair I made is in question. I wish to report this event. I accomplished this repair per structural repair manual xx. This repair is outside the controled area as shown in structural repair manual xx figure Y. The location of the repair is static port area 303 longeron 23 l-hand. The only discrepancy I noted is in my signoff in using maintenance manual zz and should have been the above.

Title: AN MD80 HAD A SHEET METAL REPAIR MADE TO A LONGERON AND FUSELAGE SKIN IN THE STATIC PORT AREA PER THE STRUCTURAL REPAIR MANUAL CHAPTER 53, BUT SIGNED OFF USING A MAINT MANUAL REF IN CHAPTER 34 FLT ENVIRONMENT.

THIS REPAIR IS OUTSIDE THE CTLED AREA AS SHOWN IN STRUCTURAL REPAIR MANUAL XX FIGURE Y. THE LOCATION OF THE REPAIR IS STATIC PORT AREA 303 LONGERON 23 L-HAND. THE ONLY DISCREPANCY I NOTED IS IN MY SIGNOFF IN USING MAINT MANUAL ZZ AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE ABOVE.
