Narrative:
During descent into iah, I anticipated some turbulence ahead. I called the purser and had the flight attendants be seated. The seat belt sign was already on. Several mins later, we encountered some jolts of turbulence as we descended through a cloud layer. I later discovered that the 2 flight attendants in the aft cabin were still cleaning the galley and not in their seats when the turbulence was encountered. As a result 1 flight attendant reported a minor scrape and the other some soreness in her back. They did not request or appear to need any medical attention. I asked the purser, when parked at the gate, if I gave them enough time to get in their seats before the turbulence. She confirmed that I had, in fact she said she went back and told the flight attendants personally 'the captain wants us down,' then went back up front to her seat well before the turbulence. I feel that had the flight attendants in the aft cabin had taken their seats when the purser told them I wanted them seated, this would not have happened.
