Narrative:
Had PIREP of aft galley mirror cracked. Contacted B757 technician for possibility of deferral. They advised me to gpm 17-01 the item. Later I was told by my crew chief that he thought the item was not deferrable. I then recontacted technician to further explore the item. We could not come up with a cdl, MEL, or anything on the emergency equipment list that says this is an airworthy item. He then contacted the next downline station to replace the mirror.
