Narrative:
Location: end of runway 27R. Flight AG0D cleared for takeoff runway 27R mia. Checklist completed, first officer PF. At 120 KTS, mia tower called flight AE0D and said cancel takeoff clearance. Because of the close numbers I looked to the end of the runway thinking the tower may have made a mistake with our call sign. We both saw an aircraft executing a missed approach off of runway 30 mia. There were no further communications until after we reached vr. I continued the flight indicating to first officer that the tower had called out flight AE0D. As we took off and climbed out, the tower turned us to a heading of 250 degrees for additional separation from the aircraft on the missed approach. Tower said, 'I wanted you to cancel your takeoff clearance.' I said to the mia tower, 'we heard flight AE0D cancel your takeoff clearance.' the mia tower then said to us, 'I know.' mia tower gave us a north turn and handed us over to departure control with the response, 'no problems.' we continued our safe flight to lax.

Title: A B757-200 FLC CONTINUES THEIR TKOF AFTER THE TWR CTLR CALLS THEM BY THE WRONG FLT NUMBER TO CANCEL THEIR TKOF CLRNC WITH XING TFC ON A MISSED APCH AT MIA.
Narrative: LOCATION: END OF RWY 27R. FLT AG0D CLRED FOR TKOF RWY 27R MIA. CHKLIST COMPLETED, FO PF. AT 120 KTS, MIA TWR CALLED FLT AE0D AND SAID CANCEL TKOF CLRNC. BECAUSE OF THE CLOSE NUMBERS I LOOKED TO THE END OF THE RWY THINKING THE TWR MAY HAVE MADE A MISTAKE WITH OUR CALL SIGN. WE BOTH SAW AN ACFT EXECUTING A MISSED APCH OFF OF RWY 30 MIA. THERE WERE NO FURTHER COMS UNTIL AFTER WE REACHED VR. I CONTINUED THE FLT INDICATING TO FO THAT THE TWR HAD CALLED OUT FLT AE0D. AS WE TOOK OFF AND CLBED OUT, THE TWR TURNED US TO A HDG OF 250 DEGS FOR ADDITIONAL SEPARATION FROM THE ACFT ON THE MISSED APCH. TWR SAID, 'I WANTED YOU TO CANCEL YOUR TKOF CLRNC.' I SAID TO THE MIA TWR, 'WE HEARD FLT AE0D CANCEL YOUR TKOF CLRNC.' THE MIA TWR THEN SAID TO US, 'I KNOW.' MIA TWR GAVE US A N TURN AND HANDED US OVER TO DEP CTL WITH THE RESPONSE, 'NO PROBS.' WE CONTINUED OUR SAFE FLT TO LAX.
