Narrative:
We had just landed on runway 19R at iad and departed the runway at D7. D7 is a high speed intersection with a 'reverse.' after clearing the runway we started to taxi on the high speed and the controller stated 'keep the turn going.' I was unclr which way he wanted us to taxi, so I stopped for clarification. After taxiing on the 'reverse' high speed we were told to copy the tower number and give him a call. The controller argued that we had stopped on the runway. We were clear of the runway.

Title: TAXI CLRNC CONFUSION AFTER LNDG AT IAD, VA.
Narrative: WE HAD JUST LANDED ON RWY 19R AT IAD AND DEPARTED THE RWY AT D7. D7 IS A HIGH SPD INTXN WITH A 'REVERSE.' AFTER CLRING THE RWY WE STARTED TO TAXI ON THE HIGH SPD AND THE CTLR STATED 'KEEP THE TURN GOING.' I WAS UNCLR WHICH WAY HE WANTED US TO TAXI, SO I STOPPED FOR CLARIFICATION. AFTER TAXIING ON THE 'REVERSE' HIGH SPD WE WERE TOLD TO COPY THE TWR NUMBER AND GIVE HIM A CALL. THE CTLR ARGUED THAT WE HAD STOPPED ON THE RWY. WE WERE CLR OF THE RWY.
