Narrative:
During landing at 6n5 (east 34TH street heliport, nyc) spot X, construction on the fence gate was noticed. There was no advisory from the heliport after being assigned spot X for landing. Debris was present and unsecured outside of the fence where construction was taking place. During landing, unsecured gate was blown over onto a parked car. The driver was present, as was the construction crew. Heliport should have advised us that construction was underway. Heliport should have closed spots near construction. Have work performed during non operational hours. Ensure that equipment and debris is secured.
