Narrative:
Type B737-300. Showing to airplane late due to transportation problem for flight out of oak airport on aug/xa/00. The airplane had already been fueled for the flight to ord. Dispatch had shown minimum fuel unknowingly to us, above maximum allowed for center tank. Due to service bulletin and MEL restr, the over-fuel passed through our maintenance MEL, dispatch and fueler and us until we noticed it airborne, at which time we realized there was no mention of maximum fuel allowed per MEL of center tank gauge in our flight manual or MEL or dispatch department until we looked at the small print at the bottom of fuel sheet.
