Narrative:
I had previously written up a complaint that the aircraft's engine instrument lights were inoperative. I noted the next day that the problem had been fixed and the mechanics had replaced all of the engine instruments. After takeoff and return to the base, I realized that the 'something isn't right feeling' was due to the fact the turbine outlet temperature gauge markings were incorrect. I reported the incident to maintenance and my supervisor. In the future, during preflight, I will be more cautious about looking at the ranges of the instruments during preflight.
