Narrative:

FAA ramp check at fat. Part 135 flight. I had checked aircraft for registration a couple of weeks prior and it was in aircraft. There are other pilots that fly aircraft, but there should have been no reason registration was out of aircraft. I had a copy of registration faxed to FAA to resolve not having registration in aircraft at the time. But still this is a PIC responsibility. You can be assured that I will check aircraft every time now.
