Narrative:

Right engine failed during takeoff followed by a fire reported by cabin crew and sfo tower. Aborted takeoff and accomplished engine fire procedure. Called for crash crew assistance. Fire was extinguished quickly with onboard suppression. Ground crew inspected the engine and confirmed the fire was out. Passenger were kept informed during all phases of the operation. We taxied back to the gate and deplaned all passenger without incident. There were no injuries. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: maintenance found a faulty eec and fuel controller.

Title: B757 REJECTS TKOF AT SFO FOR ENG FIRE WARNING AND A RPT FROM TWR AND CABIN.

Narrative: R ENG FAILED DURING TKOF FOLLOWED BY A FIRE RPTED BY CABIN CREW AND SFO TWR. ABORTED TKOF AND ACCOMPLISHED ENG FIRE PROC. CALLED FOR CRASH CREW ASSISTANCE. FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED QUICKLY WITH ONBOARD SUPPRESSION. GND CREW INSPECTED THE ENG AND CONFIRMED THE FIRE WAS OUT. PAX WERE KEPT INFORMED DURING ALL PHASES OF THE OP. WE TAXIED BACK TO THE GATE AND DEPLANED ALL PAX WITHOUT INCIDENT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: MAINT FOUND A FAULTY EEC AND FUEL CONTROLLER.
