Narrative:
On takeoff roll at las at 120 KTS (20 KTS below V1) we aborted takeoff due to loud bang with corresponding yaw to left. Did not notice any abnormal engine indications. Takeoff was at maximum power with packs off. Outside air temperature was 17 degrees C. Cleared runway and asked for ground personnel to come out and look for any obvious problem, ie, shredded tire or aircraft damage. Brake temperature peaked at 320 degrees C. We suspect that the cause of the bang and corresponding yaw was a compressor stall.
