Narrative:
I was the PNF as we were descending into sdf on the darby arrival. ZID had cleared us to cross darby intersection at 11000 ft and 250 KTS. ZID handed us off to lexington approach control, but first gave us a heading to reintercept the darby arrival (for spacing). After checking in with lexington approach, the controller cleared us to cross darby at 11000 ft then descend to 10000 ft. As I was reprogramming the FMC, the first officer descended directly to 10000 ft (approximately 4 NM before reaching darby). This could have been avoided if I had monitored the first officer more closely as I was reprogramming the FMC. Also, the vector off the STAR the back onto it, was distracting. This caused me to have my head down instead of up monitoring the PF and other traffic.

Title: B757-200 CREW HAD ALT OVERSHOOT IN SDF CLASS E AIRSPACE.
Narrative: I WAS THE PNF AS WE WERE DSNDING INTO SDF ON THE DARBY ARR. ZID HAD CLRED US TO CROSS DARBY INTXN AT 11000 FT AND 250 KTS. ZID HANDED US OFF TO LEXINGTON APCH CTL, BUT FIRST GAVE US A HDG TO REINTERCEPT THE DARBY ARR (FOR SPACING). AFTER CHKING IN WITH LEXINGTON APCH, THE CTLR CLRED US TO CROSS DARBY AT 11000 FT THEN DSND TO 10000 FT. AS I WAS REPROGRAMMING THE FMC, THE FO DSNDED DIRECTLY TO 10000 FT (APPROX 4 NM BEFORE REACHING DARBY). THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF I HAD MONITORED THE FO MORE CLOSELY AS I WAS REPROGRAMMING THE FMC. ALSO, THE VECTOR OFF THE STAR THE BACK ONTO IT, WAS DISTRACTING. THIS CAUSED ME TO HAVE MY HEAD DOWN INSTEAD OF UP MONITORING THE PF AND OTHER TFC.
