Narrative:
We were given radio clearance. Captain and I both listened to and wrote clearance down. A rerte was included as follows: dxo 217 degree radial...annts...dxo 217 degree radial /fwa 071 degree radial...vhp. Airborne passing the dxo 217 degree radial /fwa 071 degree radial, we proceeded to vhp. A short time later, ZAU asked us if we were proceeding to fwa. We told center we understood our next fix to be vhp. The controller then cleared us to vhp. Both the captain and I understood our clearance was to vhp after the dxo 217 degree radial/fwa 071 degree radial.
