Narrative:
Altimeters were incorrectly set going through transition altitude. We set 30.26 when the correct setting was 29.26. At approximately 7500 ft, we noticed error, but this put us 500 ft below our leveloff altitude of 7000 ft. ATC was informed immediately of error, and altitude was corrected. After gate arrival, we called ATC tower. They informed us that no conflict had occurred.
